Maybelline New York needs no introduction. If you are new to the makeup world, you probably already know about Maybelline products. All types of Maybelline products are the hype these days. I am a big lover of Maybelline products too. This is the reason that the very first of my makeup products were from Maybelline. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is one of the best drugstore primers out there, and is considered a dupe for many high-end primers. Read below what I have to say about this primer.

The Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is available in a light blue coloured plastic tube. It is a squeeze tube and contains enough product to last you a long time. The quality of the packaging is nice and is very travel-friendly.
I was never a fan of primer and didn't find it useful at all. However, after watching hundreds of YouTube videos and seeing how a primer is vital for flawless skin and long lasting your makeup, I had to buy one. I went with the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, which is a good drugstore primer. My problematic area are my huge pores, so after watching YouTube recommendations I bought this primer.
Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser has a clear gel like consistency. The primer feels slight greasy at first since it is a silicone based primer. You need just a small amount of product to cover your whole face. After blending into my dry skin it doesn't feel so oily or slippery and is not too dry either, so it is suitable for dry skin.
The primer does smooth out your skin for foundation application and foundation applies on your skin nicely, so the claims of smoothing your skin are true. I apply this primer on areas where I have huge pores, that is my nose and the area around my nose. It fills in my huge pores nicely and it feels as if it has blurred my pores and they no longer appear huge. The foundation usually pools in my pores, but with this, my foundation doesn't emphasise my pores.
A little bit goes a long way with this primer, but if you are being generous with it, the primer will start to roll off and foundation application would not be a pretty sight. It doesn't mattify your skin, but does appear matte, so its claims of mattifying your skin and keeping it shine free are wrong. Silicone based primers usually cause me breakouts because they clog my pores, but it hasn't happened yet with this primer. So if you have oily skin you can use this primer for reducing the appearance of your pores.
I have tried quite a few drugstore primers and Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is by far the best out there. It is from the Maybelline's Baby Skin line and it does give you baby like skin with minimum pores. I have observed that it increases the longevity of my makeup, though it doesn't claim of that, but it is a plus for me. It has been claimed to be a great dupe for Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, which is quite expensive. If you are looking for an affordable option, go with this one instead. I love wearing this primer underneath my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation to achieve flawless skin.
