In a mesmerizing departure from reality, LOEWE unveils its newest women's campaign, a poetic exploration captured through the lens of prolific fashion photographer David Sims. Transporting viewers into a world where the boundaries between the tangible and the ethereal blur, the visuals offer a surreal journey of enchantment.
LOEWE's Global Brand Ambassador, the talented actress Taylor Russell, teams up with the internationally acclaimed Tang Wei to bring to life a realm suspended in time, a boundless space set against the backdrop of Loewe's fresh campaign. Within this ethereal domain, the two figures engage in a delightful interplay – interacting with mirrors and glasses, showcasing the ingenious foldable Puzzle tote, and cradling the luxuriously supple nappa leather Squeeze Bag. This bag stands as a testament to artistry, its sculptural form softened by a customizable chain and a uniquely squeezable handle.
Every accessory showcased in this campaign serves as a testament to LOEWE's unparalleled craftsmanship. The attire adorning Taylor and Tang becomes a narrative of its own. The flowing duchesse satin dresses adorned with blurred prints capture a sense of sensual femininity, while the pastel-toned, square-lined bonded-nappa ensembles playfully evoke memories reminiscent of Polly Pocket's allure. The campaign delves into texture through opulent materials such as feathers, rhinestones, brushed suede, and shearling.
Drawing parallels to Loewe's men's FW23 campaign, the imagery resonates with allegorical motifs. The surreal narrative unfolds as models recline on tables, draped in feathered dresses, their grip firm on the iconic Squeeze Bag. Complementing these scenes are the still-life captures – a direct confrontation with desire, featuring coveted items like the Puzzle Edge, Flamenco, Goya, Paseo, Toy, and Bow pumps.
Chinese luminary Tang Wei, lauded for her performance in "Decision to Leave" (2022) directed by Park Chan-wook, shines brightly as she anticipates her role in the upcoming film "Wonderland." On a different stage across the globe, Canadian sensation Taylor Russell, recognized for her compelling roles in Luca Guadagnino's haunting indie "Bones and All" (2022) and "Waves" (2019), is poised to captivate audiences in the National Theatre's production of "The Effect" and the much-anticipated "Mother Couch," starring alongside Ewan McGregor and Ellen Burstyn. Russell's horizon also holds the intriguing prospect of "Hope," where she shares the screen with Alicia Vikander, Michael Fassbender, and Hoyeon.
